4. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification

Must have a university degree or its equivalent by the closing date.

Candidates awaiting their final result are not eligible.
Age Limit

As of 01 January 2026: 18 to 33 years.

OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): +3 years

5. Pay / Salary (Basic Pay)
Based on the 7th CPC pay levels:

6. Selection Process / Exam Pattern
The recruitment process has multiple stages:

1st Stage CBT (Computer-Based Test) – common for all posts.

Duration: 90 minutes (120 min for scribes)

Number of Questions: 100

Marking: Negative marking of 1/3rd of a mark for each wrong answer.

7. Application Fee

The entire ₹ 250 is refundable after appearing in CBT-1 (again, after bank charges).

8. Other Important Points / Tips

While applying, choose your RRB carefully (one only). According to vacancy notifications, you must pick one RRB (railway zone) and cannot apply to multiple RRBs for the same CEN.

For posts requiring typing / aptitude test, practice accordingly. These tests are “qualifying” in many cases, so be well prepared.
